Our Work: Recolouring a Villa Driveway and Carport in Marbella

This Marbella villa shows what two coats of resin colour can do for a tired imprinted concrete driveway. The grey stone pattern had faded to a dull, patchy finish and cracks ran across it; it ended up deep, glossy and even from the gate up to the carport.

What did the driveway look like before?

The surface had lost almost all its colour. The stone pattern was still there, but the grey had bleached unevenly, the shine was gone and a network of cracks crossed the drive and the apron in front of the garage.

How was the colour brought back?

The whole area was pressure washed first, including the carport under the pergola. The cracks were then filled so they would not show through, and the edges were masked where needed.

Before any roller touched the open floor, the line along the carport post and the house wall was cut in by brush. Then the first strips of colour went down over the faded concrete, followed by the coat that gives the final depth.

What was the result?

The driveway, the carport and the garage apron now read as one continuous surface in a deep, glossy tone. Nothing was broken out or replaced: the original imprinted concrete is still there, simply recoloured.
